Wip Wednesday 8.3

I took a small break from crocheting these past couple of days but today I'm back to work. I'm working on finishing up the two elephants I started back in June & July. I was supposed to have finished them for my elephant CAL but I didn't get a chance so one of my goals is to finish them up this month.

I've also started on the first of 5 animals I will be making for my second CAL that started August 12th. Its an Aquatic Animals CAL and there are 5 patterns to choose from. It ends in October so there is still plenty of time to join!

I'm also planning to add new animals to my etsy shop before the holidays and I needed to buy more stuffing. I usually would buy the 5lb box with a coupon at AC Moore for $12 but when they closed back in April I needed to find another place to get them at a discount price but none of the other stores had the brand I was using. I bought one at Hobby Lobby but I didn't really like it. So I went to Walmart and to my surprise they have the 10lb boxes for $20! That is a great deal especially since those boxes are sold for at least $40 so that was half off and cheaper than buying 2 of the 5lb boxes with coupons. I ended up getting the 2 they had since I use a lot of stuffing. Hopefully they will continue to carry them because they can't be ordered online. So if you are in the need for stuffing make sure and check out Walmart first! :)

FO Friday 8.2

Guess what! Hector the Hammerhead Shark that I released on Tuesday made it all the way to the #1 spot on Ravelry!! It was so exciting :)

This week I finished 2 patterns from 2 different and very talented designers.

The first is a pattern test for Stacey Trock (Freshstitches). I'm not sure when this adorable lion will be released but I'm thinking sometime this month. I just love the mane its so unique. 

The second is a pattern by Alyssa Voznak (Monster's Toy Box). I got her patterns a while back and haven't been able to make any. This one I started back in July, only worked on it 1 day and wasn't able to until yesterday. Its so cute and I really want to make a pink one!

Wip Wednesday 8.1

Wow its been a while since I last participated in Wip Wednesday. I was busy with my Aquatic Animals e-book I just didn't get a chance to share my wips but now that my e-book is published I can get back to normal life. This week I am getting back to working on Hector the Hammerhead Shark. This pattern will be released on Saturday, August 10th!

I basically started over with the head and made it much longer. I found that making the head the way I was just wasn't working out. Don't worry, I have much more done than this but I didn't get a chance to take pictures yet!

I also started working on a pattern test for Freshstitches. She designed an adorable lion and I was lucky enough to get to test it. I need to get it done this weekend which should be a problem. My goal is to finish it in time to share on Friday!

On Saturday I released my Aquatic Animals e-book and I'm offering coupons this week so that you can get them and save a couple $$.

Many of you may be familiar with Ravelry and that they have a list of patterns that are hot at the moment for both knitting and crochet or each separate category. Well one of my patterns Octavio the Octopus made it to #7! At least thats the highest I saw! It was really exciting so I took a picture to share with you all.

FO Friday 8.1

I'm currently working on finishing several wips so I don't have anything new to share today. But I do have my July Wrap-UP and my July customer photos!

This month all of my finished projects are from my own designs! All but one are new designs being released on Saturday!

Here are the customer photos for the month! This doesn't include the elephants from the CAL which we have 19 done so far. There will be a post tomorrow sharing all of those and announcing the winner of the CAL!
