WIP Wednesday: More Animals

This week I'm working on a new set of animals! I finished all my wip's from last week and the two I didn't show last Friday will be up this week along with some of these hopefully.
I started some penguins this weekend. I wanted a pair so I picked pink eye circles for the female and blue eye circles for the male. I'm using Caron Simply Soft as usual in the colors black, white and soft blue. The pink is some left over from last week's microbe which is Red Heart Soft in Pink. The pattern is Howie the Penguin which is a free pattern from Stacey Trock.

The next animal is Tuskegee the Walrus from Stacey Trock's book Crocheted Softies. I am using Caron Simply Soft Eco in Soft Taupe for the main body and off white for the tusks. While working on this pattern I learned a new technique. For this animal Stacey used the technique of crocheting back and forth for the shaping of the body. I am really close to finishing this one so if you would like to see it finished check out my FO Friday post this week.

Last but not least I am working on Zork the Alien also from Crocheted Softies. I am using Caron Simply Soft in the color grape and white. I am really excited to see it finished because its so different from all the other animals I have done. I'm planning on getting this one done for Friday also.

Check out more WIP's on Tami's Blog!
