This weekend sucked. :(
Nothing went as planned and I don't have much to share today but I'm going to try to make the best of it. First I got sick. I have a cold which means I haven't worked on anything since Saturday night. I didn't feel good and I definitely didn't want to get germs on my projects so I took an unplanned break. I felt better today so I finished up the last slug on my list and I will be sharing it on Friday.
Last week's weekly wip was this white shawl I'm making my mom. I was so excited because I was going to finish it but that didn't happen. It wasn't because I was sick either. Last week I mentioned that I was having some issues with the pattern because it isn't well written, well I had some problems with the pattern for the end of the shawl and had to undo the whole thing. I also noticed I accidentally missed a yarn over in one of the eyelet rows and undid another part to fix that while I was at it. So I went from being pretty much done to having a little less than half left. And finally since I noticed I would have quiet a good amount of yarn left over, I decided to modify the pattern and add another eyelet row which is what I am working on now. So basically instead of me starting my crochet entrelac baby blanket this week I am giving myself another week to work on the shawl. I'm thinking I will probably finish it up soon so I might get a chance to start the entrelac blanket after all and that way I'll have a couple extra days to work on it.
The second thing I started yesterday. My mom and I are going to be making some party favors for my cousin's Quinceanera (15th birthday party which is a huge celebration is Mexico) and we have decided to make these cute crocheted mini hats. I'm not sure exactly how many we will be making but it will be around 30-50 so I'll make sure and post my progress on here.
I'm really surprised to see only 2 projects under my works in progress tab to the left. Last week I had at least 10 but I did get a lot of work done last week. I'm going to try to control how many projects I have going on at the same time. Its my goal for the year to be more organized and I'm doing good so far. By the way I said last Wednesday that I was going to have my 31 days to get organized wrap-up post this Monday but like I said before I was sick and didn't get a chance to work on it so that is rescheduled for this coming Monday.
