First up a little announcement from my etsy shop!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Okay now on to today's post!
I don't know if its just me or what but I feel like the days are going by so fast. Two months have gone by already! I have to get my February Wrap-Up done and my Merchandise Monday post for Monday written up. Which won't be that long because I've only added 4 new items this month but I think I may be adding a couple more this week. I really need to start making some Easter items since Easter is just around the corner.
This past week I've been trying to work on my crochet entrelac blanket. I just love these colors together. I'm really glad I decided to restart this and make it in rows with three colors instead of working in the round like I did last time. My original goal was to work three rows a day, one of each color. Well that hasn't been working out. I didn't work on it at all this weekend but I'm hoping to get some work done this week.
Next up is this scarf I'm making with the technique broomstick lace which involves using a knitting needle and a crochet hook. It works up so fast. I'm actually half way done but haven't taken a more recent picture since its been raining. I'm using Berroco Comfort DK. Last year I bought two skeins at my LYS and didn't really know what to do with them and so when I was looking at my stash trying to find something to practice on I decided to use it. The color is very pretty and the yarn is soft so I think it will look great in the end.
It feels a little odd not having any amigurumi to share! But I took a little break from them since that's all I worked on last week. I do have a goat and duckling to share on Friday and if my person from the Freshstitches Classified Cupid swap receives the package today like the post office says then I will share that as well. I can't wait to see what ya'll think about it.
Don't forget to come back for Finished Object Friday!
wow once again some gorgeous projects; and those slugs are just too cute!!! Have a creative wednesday xx
ReplyDeleteOoo love the entrelac!
ReplyDeleteI actuaally worked on amigurumi this week. I don't make them so often, they are so fiddly!
The blanket is so pretty! And the scarf is beautiful! I love the pattern.
ReplyDeleteLove the colors you're using for that blanket. Your projects are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love broomstick lace. I did an entire blanket that way when I was much younger and we all loved threading our fingers through the holes in the lace. As I recall it was orange, brown and yellow so it must have been the seventies :)
ReplyDeleteThe first blanket looks lovely! Can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteI so like how the slugs are unisex. I can imagine chubby lil' fingers making one inch along a brick wall or window sill. The baby blanket is fantastic and the broomstick lace so pretty!
