FO Friday: Amigurumi!!

I got a lot finished since last Friday!! I am close to completing my goal of finishing all the animals from Crocheted Sofites by Stacey Trock. I have 12 of the 18 finished meaning I only have 6 more to make!

I am really excited! The first two are the giraffe and the alpaca from last week that I didn't get to finish for last Friday! The giraffe had a lot of color changes but I am happy with the result. I am thinking of making another one for my nephew since he loves giraffes so much. I would give him this one but I want to keep them all for a group picture plus it will be fun to make another one. The alpaca took longer to complete because I had to undo 15 rows on the neck because the loops were too short but I think it turned out great in the end. If you want to check out more pictures and see all the details there is a link to the project page on ravelry below each picture.

Now for the animals I started this week I finished 3 out of the 4. I finished the male penguin, the walrus, and the alien! The walrus turned out good but I did have a difficult time sewing the different parts and some are a little off. The Alien I really like and it was a lot easier to make than I had expected. Lastly the penguin was super easy to make and if any one is interested its a free pattern. You can find it by clicking on the project page.

The last animal I finished was Hootie the Owl also from Crocheted Softies. I didn't show the wip for this one. I love the way it turned out especially the striped wings. I didn't actually have the idea of making them striped at first. What happened was that I didn't have enough yarn and I had to find a quick solution and that was to add white.I hope you all like them as much as I do!
